Solidarity (car) Park Picnic to Stop Market Eviction

leave a comment »

Dario, the mechanic at Wards Corner has been subjected to heavy handed harassment and intimidation repeatedly by Haringey council officers, immigration and police.

Grainger, the owners of the car park, chose the Easter weekend to issue an eviction notice giving Dario 6 days to leave the site leaving him no opportunity to seek legal advice.

He is to vacate his business by Tuesday 6th April over an issue of rent that could be easily rectified. Please bring tea/coffee/food . . . salsa and join us in solidarity with a trader who has been operating on the site for over 4 years.

We need to show Haringey Council and Grainger this community stands together in defiance of racial harrassment and intimidation.
